Rotary "Air Force-Model A" Wrist Watch

Plated nickel case with stainless steel back. Inner movement holder with dust cover. Holder, dust cover and case all held together with an unusual spring assembly. Case width (not including crown) : 30mm. Case condition : 85%.

Nickel plated 15 jewel, manual wind, Rotary movement. Calibre 9/440. Engine turned decoration. Signed with Rotary logo. Movement condition : 90%. Time keeping : good

Two-tone silver coloured dial with quadrant design. Black numerals and minute markers. Red inner 24hr chapter. Subsidiary seconds. Blue steel hands. Marked, "Air Force-Model A", "Non-Magnetic". Signed "James Walker" (London Retailer). Dial condition : 80%.

In 1895 Moise Dreyfuss opened a watch factory in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland. The business grew quickly and twelve years later the company opened an office in Moorfields, London, England. In 1925 Rotary introduced its ‘winged wheel logo’ and during W.W.II. the company became an official supplier to the British Army. The company is still thriving, selling timepieces in over 35 countries worldwide.
