Solid 14k gold rectangular, Swiss made, gentlemen's Gruen Curvex wrist watch dating from the late 1940s. As well as a curved case, this watch also incorporates a curved movement.

Attractive, solid 14ct gold rectangular case with a snap-on back. Original "Gruen" signed winding crown. Case width (not including crown) : 23.5mm. Case length (including lugs) : 33.5mm. Case signed, "Wadsworth - 14K. Gold - Cased & Timed In USA By Gruen Watch Co.". Case fitted with original curved glass (some minor surface wear). Case condition : 90%.

Black dial with subsidiary seconds. Raised gilt numerals and hour markers. Gilt hands. Dial signed, "Gruen Curvex - Precision - Switzerland". Dial condition : 80%.

High quality, curved, nickel plated, tonneau shaped movement (8.75 x 9.75 ligne). 17 jewels. Movement signed, "Gruen Watch Co. - Curvex Precision Pat.". Calibre 440. Breguet overcoil hairspring. Movement condition : 95%. Time keeping : good.
