Scarce, stainless steel Longines wrist watch retailed by the quality London based watchmaker, "J. W. Benson" (originally watchmaker to Queen Victoria). Dating from 1934.

Stainless steel case with screw-on back & bezel, both with a milled edge. Hinged swivel lugs. Inside case marked, "Acier Inox - Staybrite" (Acier Inox translates as Stainless Steel). Also engraved with the serial number, "5344260" (matching movement serial number). Fitted with an acrylic U.B. crystal. Case diameter (not including crown) : 33mm. Case condition : 90%.

Original matt silver dial with subsidiary seconds. Black Roman Numerals with a red 12. Blued steel hands. Dial signed, "J.W. Benson - Longines". Dial condition : 70% (a couple of scratches).

Nice quality, gilt, 12 ligne, 15 jewel movement. Signed "Longines". Calibre. 12.68Z. Bimetallic compensation balance wheel. Movement serial number, "5344260" (matching case serial number). Movement condition (appearance) : 95%. Time keeping : good.
