Nickel cased pocket watch retailed by Russells Ltd., Liverpool, bearing the image of a steam locomotive. Dating form the 1920s.
Solid nickel case with snap-on bezel and a hinged back and inner dust cover. Dust cover decorated with seven medals, marked, "Ancre De Precision - 15 Rubis" and engraved with the caption, "Time The Day". Still fitted with original glass crystal. Case diameter (not including pendant) : 49mm. Case condition : 85%.
White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds. Black numerals and blued steel hands. Signed, "Russells Ltd., 48 Church Street, Liverpool" and decorated with a finely detailed image of a steam locomotive. Dial condition : 100%.
Good quality, gilt, 18 ligne, 15 jewel Swiss made movement. Unsigned, but positively identified as being manufactured by A. Schild (calibre 793). Movement condition (appearance) : 95%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.
