Original W.W.II. period, Royal Air Force Mk.VII pilot's/navigator's wrist watch made by the high quality Swiss manufacturer, "Omega". Dating from around 1943.
Original alloy case with snap-on bezel and stainless steel snap-on back (these alloy cases were used from 1940). Fixed strap bars. Inside back signed, "Omega". Back of case engraved with the British War Department arrow and, "6B/159" (Air Ministry's assignation for a Mk.VII pilot/navigators wrist watch). Also engraved with the serial number, "A31477". Case width : 32.5mm. Case condition : 85%
Original, matt silver dial with black
numerals and sweep seconds. Blue steel hands. Dial signed, "Omega". Dial
condition : 85% (slight ageing).
High quality, nickel plated, 13 ligne, 16 jewel sweep seconds movement. Signed,
"Omega" (calibre 30T2.SC). Compensation balance wheel. Breguet overcoil
hairspring. Movement condition (appearance) : 90%. Recently serviced. Time
keeping : good.
