W.W.II. R.A.F. JAEGER 8 Day Mk.IIB Aircraft Cockpit Clock. 1943

Good quality, 'Mk.2B', 8 day aircraft cockpit clock manufactured for the Royal Air Force during W.W.II. by the Swiss manufacturer, Jaeger. Dating from 1943.
This clock has a black bakelite case with a
screw-on bezel and is wound by turning knob on case at the 4 o'clock position.
The hands are adjusted by pressing and turning the knob simultaneously. The dial
is marked with alternate luminous numerals and luminous hands (luminous paint no
longer active). The back of the case bears the British 'king's' crown and the
initials, "A.M." (Air Ministry). The dial is in signed, "8 DAY Mk.IIB - ER -
6A/1072 - 7917/43". Fitted with a good quality nickel plated movement,
positively identified as being manufactured by Jaeger. Overall width of clock
(not including winding stem) : 64mm. Nice condition. Recently serviced. Time
keeping : good.
