W.W.II. German Luftwaffe Junghans Chronograph Cockpit Clock

Genuine W.W.II. period German Luftwaffe chronograph cockpit clock, manufactured by Junghans. This clock is an example of the 5th version of the type FL23885 cockpit clock and dates from between 1942 and 1945. FL23885 clocks were known to have been fitted to the following German aircraft : Me109, Me110, Me163, Me209, Ju87, Ju88, He162 & FW190.
High quality, 36-hour aircraft cockpit clock with chronograph function. Black dial with luminous hands and numerals. Outer, milled, rotating time elapse bezel. Painted aluminium case (some wear to paint). Good quality, nickel plated, 36-hour chronograph movement manufactured in Germany by Junghans (calibre J30BZ). Clock wound by knob at 6 o'clock position. Hands set by pulling down lever at 5 o'clock position and turning winding crown simultaneously. Chronograph function starts, stops and resets by depressing button below winding crown. The back of the clock is stamped, "Borduhr" (dashboard clock) and with the 'Werk Nr.' (Work Number) : "889406". Case width : 59mm. Good condition. Good working order. Time keeping good.
