W.W.II. period U.S. Navy "CDIA" (Civil Date Indicator Aeronautical) aircraft clock. Dated at 1943.

High quality 8-day aircraft clock with 24 hour dial (hour hand makes one orbit every 24 hours). Nickel plated, 15 jewel, 8-day lever movement (adjusted to 3 positions), manufactured in U.S.A. by Waltham. Wound by turning knob on case at 15 o'clock position, hands adjusted by pulling out, holding and turning the knob simultaneously. Central date chapter with indicator hand which advances automatically every day (can be adjusted manually by pressing button at 16 o'clock position). Luminous hands and numerals. Dial signed in white, "8 Days - Civil Date" and in black (not visible on photo), "Bu. Aero U.S. Navy - Waltham" (Bureau of Aeronautics - U.S. Navy). Good condition. Working order. Time keeping good.
