High Quality 18ct Gold ALEX HÜNING/ VACHERON & CONSTANTIN Pocket Watch. 1930s

High quality, 18ct pink gold pocket watch manufactured by Alex Hüning, Geneve, using a Vacheron & Constantin movement. Dating from the 1930s.

Slim, solid 18ct pink gold case with a snap-on bezel and a hinged back and inner dust cover. Inside back stamped with both Swiss and German 18ct gold hallmarks, and signed "A.H. Geneve" (Alex Huning, Geneve). The back is beautifully hand engraved with the initials, "A.B.". Fitted with original glass crystal (in perfect condition). Case diameter (not including pendant) : 48mm. Case condition : 95%.

Pale silver coloured dial with subsidiary seconds. Pale gold centre to seconds dial. Breguet numerals and blued steel hands. Dial signed, "Alex Hüning - Geneve". Numerals, minute/second chapters, and signature all in black enamel. Dial condition : 90%.

Beautiful quality, slim, gilt, 18 ligne, 18 jewel movement. Unsigned, but positively identified as being supplied by Vacheron & Constantin. Breguet over-coil hairspring. Bimetallic compensation balance wheel. Capped escape wheel jewels. Movement condition : 100%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.
