Nice quality, stainless steel rectangular wrist watch with attractive hooded lugs. Retailed by the quality London based watchmaker, "J. W. Benson" (originally watchmaker to Queen Victoria). Dating the late 1930s.
Two piece, 'Staybrite' stainless steel rectangular case with attractive, curved, hooded lugs. Case dimensions : Case length : 37mm. Case width (not including crown) : 22mm. Case condition : 90%.
Beautifully refinished silver coloured dial with subsidiary seconds. Black numerals with a red number 12. Blued steel hands. Signed, "J. W. Benson, London". Dial condition : 100%.
Nice quality, nickel plated, 15 jewel, tonneau shaped movement. 8.75 x 12
ligne. Unsigned, but positively identified as being
manufactured by Gruen (calibre 485). Movement condition : 100%. Recently
serviced. Time keeping : good.
