W.W.I. period, sterling silver military type wrist watch dating from around 1917. Watches such as these were designed with military use in mind and were available to troops as private purchase items.

 Sterling silver case with snap-on bezel and hinged back & inner dust cover. Articulated swivel lugs. "Nail" hand setting button on edge of case at 4 o'clock position. Stamped with an English sterling silver import hallmark corresponding to the year 1917. Fitted with an acrylic UB crystal. Case width (not including crown) : 35mm. Case condition : 90%.

Attractive two-tone, black and white enamel military style dial with subsidiary seconds. Luminous skeleton hands and hour markers (luminous paint no longer active). Dial condition : 1000%.

Nice quality, nickel plated, 13 ligne, Swiss made, 15 jewel movement (unsigned). Compensation balance wheel. Breguet overcoil hairspring. Movement condition (appearance) : 95%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.

Fitted with a W.W.I. style leather military strap with wrist guard (wrist guard can be easily removed to convert into a standard strap).
