Johann Heinrich Moser, renowned watch maker, was born in Schaffhausen in 1805 and started a high quality watch making business in St Petersburg, Russia in 1824. Later he also established workshops in Le Locle, Switzerland. The company supplied timepieces to the Russian royal family, Faberge as well as the U.S. Army.
