Scarce stainless steel Universal "Climateproof" wrist watch with a bumper automatic movement. Dating from the late 1940's.

Stainless steel tropical type case with snap-on back and bezel. Movement retained by a steel ring which is secured by fours screws. Case back signed, "Universal Genéve". Case width (not including crown) : 32.5mm. Case condition : 95%.

Beautifully refinished matt silver coloured dial. Gilt hands and recessed gilt batons. Dial signed, "Universal Genéve - Climateproof - Automatic". Dial condition : 100%.

High quality, nickel plated, 17 jewel bumper automatic movement. Movement signed, "Universal Genéve" (calibre 139). Shock absorber. Movement condition (appearance) : 98%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.
