9ct Gold ROLEX Hunter Pocket Watch. 1919

Solid 9ct gold Rolex half-hunter (demi-hunter) pocket watch made for the U.K. market. Dating from 1919.

Plain, solid 9ct gold, Dennison full hunter case (correct case for U.K. Rolex pocket watch). Case has hinged snap-on back and dust cover and a sprung loaded dial cover which is opened by pressing winding crown. Cover has a small glazed window in it's centre through which the dial and hands can be viewed without having to open the cover. Case signed, "Dennison Watch Case Co." and is stamped with a full English 9ct gold hallmark corresponding to the year 1919. The back of the case is beautifully hand engraved with the initials, "R.L.C." and the dust cover, "R.L.C. - 25/4/23 - K.M.G.". Case diameter (not including pendant) : 49mm. Case condition : 85%.

White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds and black Roman numerals. Blue steel hands (including original half-hunter hour hand). Signed, "Rolex". Dial condition : 90% (a fine hairline).

Nice quality, nickel plated, 15 jewel movement. Signed, "Rolex Lever". Attractive 'fish scale' engine turned decoration. Bimetallic balance wheel. Breguet hairspring. Movement condition (appearance) : 98%. Time keeping : good.
