British Military Type ROLEX Pocket Watch. c.1939 (Case Back & Movement)

W.W.II. period Rolex pocket watch identical to the model that was issued to the British military as a "back-up" timepiece to a chronometer. The cases on these watches were marked with a letter "B". As this watch bears no marks, it is likely that it was never issued. Dating from around 1939.

Solid nickel case with screw-on back & bezel. Inside back of case signed, "Rolex - 31 Records Universels - Geneve - Suisse". Case diameter (not including bow) : 52mm. Case condition : 90%.

White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds. Black numerals and blued steel hands. Dial signed, "Rolex". Dial condition : 98% (a very faint hairline).

Nice quality, nickel plated, 15 jewel movement. Signed "Rolex" (calibre 548). Breguet hairspring. Movement condition : 100%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.
