Large, 18 size, solid coin silver pocket watch manufactured by the American Waltham Watch Co. around 1893. Nice condition.

Heavy solid coin silver case with a screw-on bezel. The case has a solid nickel inner case which holds the movement on a hinge (once the winding stem is pulled out to the hand setting position, the movement can be swung out on the hinge). Back of case beautifully decorated with a hand engraved foliate design and with an engine turned pattern background (not easily visible on scan). Case signed, "Pioneer - Waltham, Mass. - Coin". Fitted with original bevelled glass (in very good condition). Case diameter (not including pendant) : 57mm. Case condition : 85%.

White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds. Black Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Dial signed, "American Waltham W. Co.". Dial condition : 100%.

Nice quality, nickel plated, 18 size, 15 jewel, pendant set movement (Model #1883). Signed, "American Waltham Watch Co.". Serial Number : "6670237". Movement beautifully decorated with a Damaskeened decoration. Screwed chaton set jewels. Bimetallic compensation balance wheel. Breguet hairspring. Micrometer regulator. Safety pinion. Movement condition : 100%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.
