9ct gold, mid sized, military type "Borgel Patent" cased wrist watch, identified as being manufactured by A. Eigeldinger & Fils, a Swiss manufacturer who specialized in military wrist watches. Dating from 1924. Excellent condition.

Solid 9ct gold, mid size "Borgel" case (once the sprung loaded winding crown is pulled out of position, the movement and bezel (as one piece) screws directly into case). "Nail" hand setting button (at 4 o'clock position). Case signed "F.B" (François Borgel - a Swiss company specialising in early dust/moisture-proof cases). Stamped with a British 9ct gold import hallmark, corresponding to the year 1924. Fitted with original bevelled glass crystal in excellent condition. Case diameter (not including crown) : 30.5mm. Case condition : 90%.

White enamel military style dial with subsidiary seconds. Luminous hands and numerals (luminous paint no longer active). Dial condition : 100%.

High quality, gilt, Swiss made, 18 jewel movement. Unsigned but positively identified as being manufactured by A. Eigeldinger & Fils. Breguet hairspring. Capped escape wheel jewels. Movement condition (appearance) : 98%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.

Fitted with leather W.W.I. style military strap (wrist guard can be easily removed to convert into a standard strap).
