Scarce Early British Military Pocket Watch. W.EHRHARDT. c.1900

Scarce, early example of a British military pocket watch supplied by the London based watchmakers "W. Ehrhardt". Dating from around 1900 (Anglo-Boer War period).
Large, heavy, solid nickel case with screw down back and bezel. British military markings on outside of back: War Department broad arrow and the serial no. "D 29097". Same serial number also repeated on central portion of case (as well as on the movement). Fitted with bevelled glass crystal. Case diameter (not including pendant) : 55mm. Case condition : 85%.
White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds. Blue steel hands and bold Roman numerals. Dial signed, "W. Ehrhardt - London". Dial condition : 100%.
English made, gilt, 7 jewel, 3/4 plate lever movement. Movement engraved with British War Department broad arrow and the serial no. "D 29097" (same markings as engraved on case). Bimetallic compensation balance wheel. Movement condition (appearance): 90%. Time keeping : good.
