Very nice, 21 jewel, Hamilton railroad pocket watch with sought after "bar over crown" case. Dating from around 1931.
Original, decorative, 14K white gold filled "Wadsworth" case with screw-on back and bezel. Bar over winding crown. Original "Hamilton Railroad" crown. Lever hand setting mechanism (under bezel at 1 o'clock position). Bevelled glass crystal (very good condition). Case diameter (not including pendant) : 50.5mm. Case condition : 85% (no brassing to case, some wear to bow).
White enamel, double sunk dial with subsidiary seconds and bold numerals. Blue steel hands. Dial signed, "Hamilton". Dial condition : 99% (small, very faint hairline).
Beautiful quality, nickel plated, 21 jewel movement. Signed, "Hamilton Watch Co." (caliber 992 - serial number "2427120"). Screwed gold chaton set jewels. Gold centre wheel. Micrometer regulator. Adjusted to 5 positions. Decorated with narrow Geneva stripes. Double roller. Bimetallic compensation balance wheel. Movement condition (appearance) : 95%. Time keeping : good.
