Stainless steel rectangular wrist watch manufactured by the Swiss company 'Thommens Uhrenfabriken AG' (Vertex / Revue) and retailed by the quality London based watchmaker, "J. W. Benson" (originally watchmaker to Queen Victoria). Dating from around 1930.
Two piece, stainless steel rectangular case with an attractive faceted fascia. Case signed, "V.W.Co." (Vertex Watch Co.). Case dimensions : Length (including lugs) - 39mm, Width (not including crown) - 22mm. Case condition : 85%.
Original matt silver coloured dial with subsidiary seconds. Black numerals. Blue steel hands. Signed, "J. W. Benson". Dial condition : 90%.
Good quality, nickel plated, 15 jewel, rectangular movement. Signed, "V.W.C." (Vertex Watch Co.). Decorated with Geneva stripes. Movement condition (appearance): 90%. Time keeping : good.
