High quality, solid 14ct pink gold 1/4 repeater pocket watch made by the high quality Swiss manufacturer "LeCoultre & Co." for the German market. dating from around 1910.
Solid 14ct pink gold case with hinged, bezel, back and inner dust cover. "Nail" hand setting button on edge of case at the 11 o'clock position. Repeater function lever on side of case between the 2 and 4 o'clock position (activates repeater chimes by sliding in an upward direction). Inside case stamped with both the Swiss and German 14ct gold hallmarks. Fitted with an acrylic UB crystal. Case diameter (not including pendant or repeater lever) : 50mm. Case condition : 80%.
White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds. Black numerals and outer 60 minute chapter (marked in 5 minute intervals). Ornate, gilt hands and unusual, attractive arrow shaped subsidiary seconds hand. Dial condition : 90% (a couple of fine hairlines).
High quality, gilt, 15 jewel movement with 1/4 repeater function (once activated, chimes the hours and 1/4 hours). Movement signed, "Le Coultre & Co." (signed under hammer). Wolfs teeth winding wheels. Bimetallic compensation balance wheel. Movement condition (appearance) : 90%. Good working order. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.
Comes with a period jeweller's pocket watch case.
