W.W.I. Period Military Type Hunter Wrist Watch. c.1915

W.W.I. period, military type wrist watch with a nickel full hunter case. Dating from around 1915. Watches such as these were designed with military use in mind and were more often that not sold to troops as private purchase items.
Solid nickel case with sprung loaded hinged cover and hinged snap-on back. Nickel wire lugs. Cover opened automatically by pressing button mounted on the side of the case at the 4 o'clock position. Case width (not including crown) : 35 mm. Case condition : 90%.
White enamel military style dial
with subsidiary seconds. Luminous hands and numerals (luminous paint no longer
active). Dial condition : 100%.
Good quality, nickel plated, Swiss made lever movement (unsigned).
Decorated with Geneva stripes. Movement condition (appearance) : 95%. Time
keeping : good.
Fitted with a black leather military style strap.
