W.W.II. "Vertex" British Military Wrist Watch. c.1944

Original, W.W.II. period, British military issue wrist watch manufactured by the Swiss company 'Thommens Uhrenfabriken AG' (Revue) under their brand name "Vertex". Dating from around 1944.
Heavy, chrome plated case with stainless steel screw-on back. Fixed strap bars. British military markings inside and outside of back : British War Department arrow, "W.W.W" (Watch Wrist Waterproof), "A7876" and "3520792". Case width (not including crown) : 36mm. Case condition : 85% (slight wear).
Black dial with subsidiary seconds. White numerals. Signed "Vertex", also marked with British War Department arrow. Luminous hour markers and hands (luminous hour markers no longer active). Dial condition : 90%.
Nice quality, nickel plated, 15 jewel movement. Signed "Vertex" (calibre 59). Movement condition (appearance) : 90%. Recently serviced. Time Keeping : good.
Fitted with an Olive coloured Nato
G10 style strap.
