Very Rare W.W.I. French Military Airship/Balloon Chronograph Pocket Watch

Very rare W.W.I period chronograph pocket watch supplied by "Allion ŕ Versailles" specially for the French Military Airship/Balloon Service.
Blued steel case with gilt fittings, snap-on bezel, hinged back and inner dust cover. Button in centre of crown starts, stops and resets chronograph. Fitted with an acrylic U.B. crystal. Case diameter (not including pendant) : 51.5mm. Case condition : 75%.
White enamel dial with black numerals and outer 60 second chapter. Chrono. minute register (30 mins.) and subsidiary seconds register. Blue steel hands. Signed in red, "Aerostation Militaire", marked with the serial number, "A 290" and "Allion ŕ Versailles - Importé De Suisse". Allion ŕ Versailles were are Paris based watchmakers who were contracted to supply the French Air Service with clocks, watches and instruments. Dial condition : 60% (a couple of fine hairlines and a chip out of dial between 10 & 11 o'clock which has at some point been filled).
Nice quality, gilt, chronograph movement. Unsigned, but positively identified as being manufactured by the Swiss company "Le Phare". Movement condition (appearance): 90%. All functions in good working order. Time keeping good.
