Apologies for the poor
quality of this picture.
Nickel case, stainless steel snap back, sprung
strap bars (permitted on FAA wristwatches).
Movement : Omega 30T2SC. Silver dial, black numerals, blue steel hands. NATO style nylon
strap.
Military Markings : War Department arrow. "HS8" (Hydrographic Service 8 - Fleet
Air Arm Pilot's Issue)
Being a solid nickel case, makes this an early example of a FAA pilot's watch; in 1940
this type of case was replaced by a nickel-plated brass case as an economy measure.
Very nice original condition.
Minor marks to bezel. Original dial in excellent condition.
Running condition: keeps time to within 1
minute per day.
Overall length: 40 mm, width: 34 mm
