Scarce, quality chronograph pocket watch made by the Swiss chrono. specialist, "Minerva" for the Swedish Army. Dating from the 1930's.
Solid nickel case with snap-on bezel, hinged back and dust cover. Button in the centre of winding crown starts, stops and resets chronograph. Stamped and engraved with Swedish Military markings : Swedish royal crowns and the codes, "FV - 17 - Nr. 21". Case diameter (not including pendant) : 51mm. Case condition : 80%.
White enamel dial with dual registers: subsidiary second dial and chronograph 30 minute register. Black numerals and outer chronograph second chapter, divided into 5ths of a second. Seconds also indicated in red at 5 second intervals. Signed, "Minerva". Blue steel hands. Dial condition : 95% (very faint hairline).
Nice quality, nickel plated, seventeen jewel chronograph movement. Steel chrono. works. Signed with "Minerva" logo. Movement condition (appearance) : 90%. Good working order. Time keeping : good.
