


Unusual, Swiss "Vertex" folding sports pocket watch, dating from around 1930.
Square metal movement case housed within a rectangular metal case covered with snake grain brown leather. The watch is opened by pressing the two sprung loaded ends of the outer case, this causes the top lid to pop open and the watch to swing out. The top of the movement case can then be locked into the upright position by locating the stud in it's top edge into a slot in the outer case lid. The back of the movement case is is marked, "Metal - Swiss - Vertex". Length of outer case : 45mm. Case condition : 90%.
Two-tone silver coloured dial with subsidiary seconds. Black numerals. Blue steel hands. Dial signed, "Vertex". Dial condition : 95%.
Nickel plated, Swiss made, 15 jewel movement. Signed, "V.W." (Vertex Watch Co.). Calibre 42. Movement condition (appearance) : 95%. Time keeping : good.
