Solid Silver Cycling Club Plaque. 1929

Attractive solid silver plaque used as prize medal for an English cycling competition in 1929.
This high quality, Hungarian made plaque is made from solid silver (43 grams) and is stamped with a Hungarian "800" grade silver hallmark as well as the maker's initials "SGA". The top portion bears the image of a goddess holing a laurel wreath and the bottom is beautifully hand engraved with the inscription, "K.W.C.C. - Robins Plaque - Won By C.W.J. Taylor - 1929" (It is likely that K.W.C.C. is the Kingston Wheelers Cycling Club). Overall length : 57mm. Good condition.
