15 x Original Glass Boer War Magic Lantern Slides

15 original, period, glass magic lantern slides showing photographic images relating to the Anglo-Boer War (South African War). Dating from around 1900.
The titles are as follows : "2nd West Yorkshire Regiment on parade"; "Long Tom"; "Soldiers of the Queen"; "Troops going aboard carrying their kit bags"; (S.S.) "Norham Castle"; "Waiting colonials"; "Lord Roberts on his charger"; "Boer trench in which the Boers took shelter"; "Bravo ! C.I.V. - Welcome Home !" (City Imperial Volunteers); "Trenches at Kimberley occupied by the Buffs"; (H.M.S.) "St. George - West Southsea"; "The gun saved by Capt. Schofield & the late Leiut. Roberts"; "The Modder River"; The Union Jack on G.....? Building"; Untitled (shows a large gathering of armed Boers on horseback).
Some slides depict images from the "Illustrated London News" and are manufactured by Newton & Co., London. Approximate dimensions of each slide : 83mm x 83mm. Good condition.
