German Lehmann "Tom" Climbing Monkey Tin Toy. 1920's

Nice quality, original, "Tom" climbing monkey tin toy, made in Germany by the high quality and sought after manufacturer, Lehmann. Dating from around the 1920's.

This fun and ingenious lithographed tin toy climbs up and down it's string. He ascends by pulling down on the string and then descends once the tension is released. As well as bearing the Lehmann logo, he is also signed, "Lehmann - Tom - Made in Germany" and with model number "385". Length (top of head to tip of tail) : 205mm. Good condition (some wear to paint). Working order.
