Beautiful, quality, English sterling silver and enamel bicycle racing medal (1st Place). Dated 1937.

Ornate hand engraved silver medal with a central shield bearing the image of a racing cyclist, beautifully hand painted in multi-coloured enamel. The bottom is inscribed with the name of the cycling club, "Kingstanding Wheelers". The reverse bears the following inscription, "Club 25. 1937 - 1st Fastest - J. McIndoe". Also stamped with a full English (Chester) sterling silver hallmark corresponding to the year 1936. Length (not including bale ring) : 41.5mm. Very good condition. Comes with original case.
