Rare W.W.I. Period Royal Navy Signalman Sweetheart Brooch

Nice quality, rolled gold and enamel sweetheart brooch made in the form of a Royal Navy Signalman's badge. Dating from the First World War (1914-1918). Brooches such as these were known as “sweethearts” as they were purchased by servicemen to give to their loved ones.
This rare, attractive brooch is made from yellow and pink rolled gold and is decorated in white and blue enamel. The brooch pin is stamped “Rolled Gold”. Length : 48.5mm. Nice condition. Supplied with a nice quality vintage style presentation box.
