Solid sterling silver propelling pencil decorated with a very attractive and novel enamelled signal flag design. The signal flag signifies the letter 'W' (meaning the pencil could be given to or used by someone whose name begins with this initial). The lead is extended or retracted by twisting the cover at the end of the pencil. This cover is stamped, "Sterling Silver - Made In England" and also pulls away to reveal a special compartment which is designed to store up to six spare leads. There is a sprung loaded knob to this compartment which when twisted allows one lead to be dispensed at a time. Overall length: 124mm. Good condition (perfect enamel). Good working order.
