High quality, solid sterling silver and enamel
cycling medal made in 1909. This medal
has a central shield shaped panel decorated with a beautifully hand painted image of a cyclist. This panel is surrounded by a silver, hand engraved,
laurel wreath and a crown. The reverse is unengraved and stamped with full
English sterling silver hallmark dating the medal to 1910 and with the maker’s
mark, “R.P” (Robert Pringle & Sons,
Birmingham). Comes with a fitted
box which is marked, “F. Phillips, Medallist, Aldershot”. Length of medal (not including bale ring) : 32mm. Very good condition. Inventory No. O-150 ------------------------------------------------------------ [ Top
