Nice quality, solid sterling silver spoon made as a souvenir of the Anglo Boer War (1899-1902). The end of this nicely crafted spoon is
decorated with a detailed miniature British infantry soldier, standing to
attention. The stem is decorated with a barley twist design and the reverse of
the bowl is stamped with a full English sterling silver hallmark which dates
the spoon to 1899, with the maker’s mark, “R.P” (Robert Pringle & Sons,
Birmingham), and with a
Registered number which also dates the design to 1899. Length : 102mm. Nice
