W.W.I. German Silver Medal - 1915 Submarine Blockade of Britain

Very nice quality, high grade solid silver, German medal made to commemorate Admiral von Tirpitz and the beginning of the German submarine blockade of the Britain in 1915.
The front of this beautiful W.W.I. period medal is decorated with the detailed image of the Neptune wading in the sea clutching a trident and blowing a conch shell, in the background is a submarine and a cliff with a lighthouse. Above is the inscription, Gott Strafe England - 18 Februar 1915" (Gott Strafe England = God Punishes England). The edge also bears the medallist's name, "A. Löwental". The reverse bears the image of Tirpitz and his name, "Grossadmiral Von Tirpitz". The rim is stamped, "Silver 990". Diameter : 34mm. Very good condition (nice patina).
