Rare "H.M.S. Dreadnought" Match Safe c.1906

Rare, vulcanite (hard rubber) match safe (vesta) in the form of a book. The front bears an image of the famous Royal Navy battleship, H.M.S. Dreadnought (launched in 1906). The reverse an image of "Britannia", a woman with a shield, helmet & trident (a personification of Britain).
The match safe has a top and bottom lid which are sprung loaded. The striking surface runs down it's side. Nice condition apart from a chip in the top right hand corner of the reverse. Fortunately this is in the border area of the match safe, and so does not detract from it's attractive design. Length : 52mm.
