Scarce W.W.I. 9ct Gold Seaforth Highlanders Brooch

Scarce, original, W.W.I. period, solid 9ct pink gold Seaforth Highlanders sweetheart brooch. These brooches were known as "sweethearts" as they were purchased by servicemen to give to their loved ones.
The front is decorated with a miniature representation of the regiment's early badge, a stag's head below the cypher and coronet of the late Duke of Albany (Prince Leopold). The reverse is stamped with a 9ct gold mark. Overall length : 40.5mm. Nice condition. Comes with a period jewellers box.
