1930s Dunlop Tyres Smoker’s Pipe Tool / Pocket Knife

Good quality smoker’s pipe tool & pocket knife made as promotional item or corporate gift for the Dunlop Rubber Co. Ltd. Manufactured by Warriss, Sheffield, England and dating from the 1930s/40s.

This nice quality tool is fitted with a stainless steel penknife blade and a pick (used to clear the pipe’s shank of debris and to aerate tightly packed tobacco). It has solid nickel scales, one of which is stamped, “Dunlop”. The end of the tool is fitted with a tamper (used for tamping down the tobacco in the pipe bowl). Length (closed): 87mm. Good condition.
