Scarce 9ct gold automatic wrist watch manufactured by the royal jewellers,
Garrard & Co Ltd., London, for the Shell Oil Company. Dating from 1964.
Solid 9ct gold case with screw-on back. Inside back signed, "Dennison - Made
in England" and stamped with a full English 9ct gold hallmark corresponding to
the year 1964. Case diameter (not including crown): 33.5mm. Case condition:
90%.
Original silver coloured dial with raised gilt 'dagger' batons, the numerals,
3, 6, 9 & 12, and the logo of the Shell Oil Company. The dial is signed,
"Garrard - Automatic". Dial condition: 95% (slight wear to plating
on hands).
High quality, Swiss made, 12.5
ligne, 21 jewel
automatic movement manufactured by ETA (cal. 2451). Decorated with pink gilded
plates and a silvered rotor. Sweep seconds. Incabloc shock absorber. Movement condition
(appearance) : 95 %. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.
