Scarce "Junior Car Club" Lapel Badge. 1920's

Scarce gilt brass and enamel Brooklands "Junior Car Club" lapel badge (pin). Dating from the 1920's.
Rectangular badge with black enamel background and bearing the Junior Car Club logo and the initials "J.C.C.". Mounted on a gilt bar, the back of the badge is stamped with the maker's mark, "Spencer - London". Overall width : 38.5mm. Nice condition.
The "Junior Car Club" was a motor racing club which was based at the famous Brooklands circuit and was formed in 1919. After W.W.II. it amalgamated with the "Brooklands Automobile Racing Club". In 1949 the name was changed to the "British Automobile Racing Club" (keeping the same initials). At this point the Goodwood circuit became it's new home (Brooklands had closed at the start of the war).
