Rare, original Mickey Mouse radiator grille car badge dating from the 1930s.

This charming badge is made from pressed anodized brass, with a black and gold finish. He has a tail and 'pie-eyes', which dates him to the 1930s. These badges were designed to be fixed to a car radiator grille by a strip of wire which was soldered to the back of the badge. This wire would have be threaded between the bars of the radiator grille then simply twisted together to secure the badge in place. Badge in good condition (some wear to finish and fixing wire missing - as is usual with these badges). Badge length: 146mm.

A very rare and desirable car badge, keenly sought after by both Disney and automobilia collectors!
