Copper "Pratt's Perfection Spirit" Advertising Ashtray. c.1910

Attractive English made copper ashtray produced as an advertising item for Pratt's Perfection (petroleum) Spirit. Dating from around 1910.
This piece bears a detailed image in relief of a "Pratt's Perfection Spirit" petrol can. The rim is stamped with the makers mark, "J. S. & S. - Solid Copper - Made in England". Good condition (some minor surface wear and tear, nice patina). Diameter : 117mm.
The "Pratt's" brand began when the Standard Oil Co. started marketing it's motor spirit in Europe in 1896. It was named after Charles Pratt, a director of the company. It continued until 1936 when it was replaced by "Esso".
