Attractive, original, nickel plated brass and enamel lapel badge made to be worn by members of The Touring Club Italiano. Manufactured by S. Johnson, Milan in the 1930s.

The background of this badge is in the form of a nickel plated cycle wheel with the club’s logo in the foreground. This consists of a brass and enamel Italian flag bearing the clubs initials. The reverse is still fitted with its original pin and is stamped with the maker’s name, “Johnson”. Good Condition (tiny nick to white enamel). Diameter: 30mm.

 The Touring Club Italiano was formed in 1894, originally as a national association for cyclists, but later incorporated motor transport as well. The club is still in existence today..
