Unusual, novelty, sterling silver "striker" cigarette lighter made in the form of a motor car radiator grille. Made in 1927.

The body of this lighter is shaped like a radiator grille, the end of the striker wand is is the form of a radiator cap and fits into the top of the main body. The striker has a steel tip which holds a wick. This tip is designed to be struck against the flint strips which are housed either side of the radiator grille (one strip has been used up and is no longer present, the other is still useable). The lighter can be filled with lighter fluid in through aperture which houses the striker. Both the main body and the striker are stamped with a full English import hallmark corresponding to the year 1927. Length (with striker in place) : 47mm. Good condition (slight wear & tear).
