Vintage BRDC 'Silverstone Club' Lapel Badge

Vintage lapel badge made for members of the 'Silverstone Club', which is part of the BRDC - British Racing Drivers' Club. Silverstone is a famous British motor racing circuit which belongs to the BRDC and is home to the British Grand Prix.

This badge is made from brass and is decorated in multicoloured enamel. It is designed in the form of the club's insignia which takes it's shape from the layout of the Silverstone racing circuit and incorporates the badge of the BRDC. The reverse bears the maker's mark, "Marples & Beasley, B'Ham". Brooch pin fastening. Length : 32mm. Good condition.
