Early Royal Automobile Club 'Associate Member's' Car Badge & Key Ring

Early (1912 pattern) Royal Automobile Club associate member's car badge and membership key ring.
Nice quality, solid brass RAC badge manufactured by Elkington & Co. Ltd. The badge is the form of a wheel being supported by the god Mercury. Above the wheel is the King's crown. The centre of the wheel bears the enamelled badge in the form of the Union Jack flag. The badge is stamped with the number "B3041" and still contains it's original celluloid membership renewal disc for the year 1917. The badge is mounted on a solid wood base along with the original owner's membership key ring (badge and key ring can be easily removed if required). Height (not including bolt) : 120mm. Both items in very good condition.
