Quality Art Deco Enamel St. Christopher Dashboard Badge. 1930s

Good quality, Art Deco, chrome plated and enamel dashboard mounted St. Christopher badge. Dating from the 1930s. Most likely to have been manufactured in France.

This very attractive, chrome plated, lozenge shaped badge bears the image of St. Christopher, supported either side by a vintage car and a biplane in flight. It is decorated with black and a beautiful green translucent champleve enamel. The badge is signed with the artist's initials "J.P.". Overall width : 45mm. Good condition (slight wear to plating).
