Enamel "Hepolite" Lapel Badge. 1950s

Chrome plated and enamel "Hepolite" lapel badge dating from the 1950s.

"Hepolite" was the brand name of the Bradford based company Hepworth & Grandage Ltd., who specialized in the manufacture of pistons, pins, rings and liners for car engines. This badge is in the form of a pair of stylized wings with a piston in it's centre. The reverse is marked with the company name, "Hepworth & Grandage Ltd., Bradford" and is mounted on to a button hole fastening. Width : 50mm. Good condition (the initials "F.D." have been scratched onto the reverse).
