Scarce 1938 Monte Carlo Rally Competitors' Lapel Badge

Scarce, original 1938 Monte Carlo Rally competitors lapel badge.

This attractive, chrome plated badge is in the form of a tyre fitted with snow chains, crossed spades and a red enamel rally plaque entitled, "17th Monte Carlo Rally". Above this is the date 1938. The badge is mounted on a screw post fastening. Diameter (not including spades) : 28mm. Good condition.

The 1938 Monte Carlo Rally was won by the Dutch pair G. Baker-Shut & Karel Ton in a V8 Ford.
